The Tehama County Museum’s Jubilee theme this year is “…a vintage Museum social” (in other words an olde fashioned picnic!).
Our special event will be the return appearance of the Red Bluff Civil War Re-enactors. They’ll be setting up a mini-camp, appearing in uniform, bringing their horses, rifles and maybe even a cannon or two, oh my! The plan is to have a civilian contingent of that era stroll about the grounds in period costume and visit with guests. The group has also been invited to present very special flag raising ceremonies at 9a.m. It’ll be worthy of a photo.
Everyone is encouraged to bring the family and enjoy a host of other featured events: an art photo exhibit; demos by fiber artists; antique appraisals by experts; a vintage vehicle showing; kid’s activities; live entertainment; great food; a country store featuring homemade crafts and canned and baked goods; loads of raffle prizes; historical and heritage society booths; a book signing by local author Frances Leininger; and, of course, all of the great arts & crafts booths.
